Society Update
Beginning with the May 13, 2021 meeting, we have returned to meeting in person at our pre Covid Virus normal meeting location, 1500 North Frazier street, in Conroe Texas 77301. We look forward to seeing everyone again.

There are no regular membership meetings during June, July and August.

The next meeting will commence on the second Thursday in September 2021, starting at 7:00pm at 1500 Frazier Street.

WEBSITE UPDATE
  • Our exiisting website will be shutdown no later than June 30, 2021. Our software program has become outdated and no longer actively supported by our hosting company. Domain name may or may not change.
  • Our webmaster for the past 9 years has retired. Ms. Kerry Kelly will become our new webmaster.
  • After June 30, 2021, we hope to be back on line by end of summer.


2021 Speakers

January 14, 2021
Melinda Culpon spoke about the General Land Office and its many benefits to the genealogy community. Great attendance this month, with special guests Mr. Doug Collings of Montgomery Texas and Ms. Pat Whitaker hailing from Australia.

February 11, 2021
Ms. Lisa Webster will speak about a permanent solution for photos, videos, audio's and documents. This is something she found that is different from what we may be using presently.

March 11, 2021
Ms. Kyla Bayang will speak about how to electronically record your family narrative now and convert to a written format at a later date.

April 8th, 2021
Mr Bob Scamman will speak about "Tracing Your Colonial Ancestors".

May 13th, 2021, 1st in person meeting since April 2020.
Mr Kameron Searle spoke about the founding and naming of the City of Montgomery, Montgomery County and the Lake Creek Settlement.
